Affiliate
Committee
The Affiliate Committee shall consist of not less
than eight (8) members and shall meet on call or on
demand agreed to by the Committee Chairperson and
the Association Executive. Its function is to
create and maintain ways to increase communication
between REALTORâ
members and affiliate members as well as the
development of ways to promote the affiliate's
businesses. The Chairperson encourages affiliate
participation in Association Committee work,
provides a forum whereby members can voice their
opinions on mutually beneficial issues and to work
closely with other standing Committees in providing
assistance and expertise. The Committee Chairperson
introduces new Affiliate members at Association
functions and furnishes information and flyers to
staff for dissemination to the membership.

Budget/Finance/Audit Committee
The
Budget/Finance/Audit Committee will consist of the
Treasurer, the immediate past President and three
REALTORâ members. The Treasurer shall serve as a
chairperson of this Committee and the President
Elect/Vice President shall serve as ex officio.

Committee Chairperson and the Association Executive.

Bylaws Committee
Reviews and recommends changes to
Bylaws and Statement of Policy of the Association.

Education Committee
Provides open communication to the membership
regarding industry updates and the ever-changing
issues from the Texas Real Estate Commission, TAR
and NAR. This Committee provides educational
opportunities through seminars and other programs
that are relevant to the enhancement of the real
estate profession. Meets on call or on demand.

Governmental Affairs / Legislative Committee
Ensure that the general membership is keenly aware
of all legislative affecting the real estate
profession and promote individual and association
issues in the legislative process. Attend as many
political functions as possible, monitor speeches of
local, state and national candidates, and incumbent
local, state and national officials to determine
their position on matters affecting the real estate
industry. Prepare a detailed written report on each
political function attended, detailing issues
discussed and action taken. Monitor and inform the
board of directors and membership on local, state
and national issues affecting the membership, the
industry, and private property rights. Establish
and mobilize “call to action” network on urgent and
pending legislation 2005

MLS Committee
Coordinates the MLS programs; The
MLS Committee will select a representative to serve
on the NTREIS user’s task force and attend all
NTREIS Board of Directors meetings. Meets on call
or demand.

Membership/Services Committee
Reviews applications for Association
membership and submits them to the Board of
Directors for approval. Encourages and solicits
non-members and affiliates to join. The Committee
may make recommendations to the Board of Directors
regarding improvements to membership services, or
addition to membership services. Meets on call or
on demand.

Nominating Committee
The nominating Committee shall
comprise of nine (9) members. The immediate past
President will be chairman. The other members will
be one (1) additional past President, two (2)
current members of the Board of Directors, two (2)
Heads of Firm and three (3) Realtor members who are
not Heads of Firm. A quorum of two-thirds (2/3) of
the Committee membership must be present to conduct
business. Selects nominees for annual Directorship
elections. Also selects recipients of various
awards as outlined in this statement of policy.

Orientation Committee
The Committee is responsible for preparing and
maintaining an Orientation program for new and
reinstated members. Members of the Committee
periodically audit the Orientation course and
evaluate its effectiveness. Meets on call or on
demand agreed to by the Committee Chairperson and
the Association Executive.

Professional Standards Committee
The Lake Cities Association of REALTORS®, along with
the Grand Prairie Board of REALTORS®, the Ellis-Hill
County Association of REALTORS®, and the Northeast
Tarrant County Association of REALTORS® operate
under a Cooperative Enforcement Agreement to provide
a consolidated pool of Professional Standards
Committee Members. Members and prospective members
must attend the Professional Standards Workshop as
outlined in the Bylaws. Meets on call or on demand.

Public Relations Committee
Coordinates publicizing of Association activities
and actively encourages new membership
applications. Meets on call or on demand.

Special Events Committee
The Special Events Committee shall,
each year in advance, secure a meeting place for the
upcoming year's Installation of Officers and Dinner
and plans and arranges the annual Installation
Dinner and other social functions held by the
Association. Only Committee authorized to solicit
Affiliate donations except others specifically
authorized by Board of Directors. Meets on call or
demand.
